Ancho Chile Powder

Made from freshly ground, dried Ancho chiles – the sweetest and most mild of dried chile peppers. Ancho chiles, when fresh, are otherwise known as poblano peppers. Use ground ancho chile powder to thicken and spice up sauces, salsas, rice, or beans. Commonly used to season tamales or enchiladas. Because of its dark, rich color, and sweet, mild flavor, dried ancho chile peppers can often be found in many different spice blends.
